Welcome to SimpleStyles by Mel Where Haircare is Healthcare Located in East New York, Brooklyn, SimpleStyles by Mel is a private salon suite specializing in intentional loc care, natural haircare, scalp health, and hair restoration. Our approach is simple: healthy hair comes from a healthy scalp which begins with a healthy body. Every appointment is designed around the condition, integrity, and long-term care of your hair—not simply the style you leave wearing. We combine professional haircare with a health-conscious approach to create an experience that is personal, unrushed, and intentional. We proudly incorporate trusted professional products, including Nutrafol and Black-owned haircare brands, selected to support healthy hair and scalp care. YOUR APPOINTMENT SimpleStyles by Mel is an appointment-only private salon experience. Walk-ins are not accepted; you may join the waitlist when available. Every service includes a two-step shampoo and conditioning treatment enhanced with nano steam technology to support optimal hair and scalp hydration. Please arrive with your hair fully detangled, unless you have booked an applicable service. Tangled or matted hair will result in cancellation under our cancellation policy. When booking, always select the earliest available appointment. Appointment times may be adjusted to accommodate business operations. CHILDREN Clients of all ages are welcome. Children must be able to remain seated and well-behaved throughout their appointment. One guardian may accompany a child receiving services. No additional guests are permitted for other appointments. Children's services are not discounted. DEPOSITS & BOOKING A non-refundable deposit is required to secure every appointment. Appointments created on your behalf are not secured until the required deposit is received. If the deposit is not received by the end of the business day, the appointment will be cancelled. RESCHEDULING Appointments may be rescheduled up to 48 hours before the schedule appointment time and no more than 120 days into the future. ARRIVAL & LATENESS A 10-minute grace period is provided for both client and provider. A $25 late fee applies after the 10-minute grace period. Appointments more than 20 minutes late will be cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy. CHECKOUT We accept major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Processing fees apply. Klarna, Affirm, and Afterpay are accepted. Exact cash is accepted. Cash App is accepted. Zelle is preferred.Business Hours

Cancellation Policy
Appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time or missed are subject to a fee of 50% of the scheduled service total.
Appointment change requests made within 48 hours are considered cancellations and are subject to the same fee.
If the card on file declines the applicable cancellation fee, future booking privileges will be revoked.
