Because the roots are more likely to unravel with regular washing, and styling products can contribute to buildup and lint retention, more frequent maintenance is recommended to support healthy hair and scalp hygiene. Hair Detangle & Wash | $125 Per Hr

GENERAL CONSULTATION FIRST! This service is for hair that can not be easily combed or finger-detangled from roots to ends due to matting, severe tangles, or neglect. It is intended for matted hair that has NOT fully formed into locs. **Please do not book this service for a full-head loc comb-out or loc removal. SimpleStyles by Mel does not offer full loc comb-out services.** Please note that a consultation does not guarantee acceptance as a client. The severity of tangling, hair length, curl pattern, overall hair density, and head size will determine the estimated time required. Services are provided at the sole discretion of SimpleStyles by Mel. If your hair is determined to be beyond the intended scope of this service or requires a more advanced level of care and time than we offer, we reserve the right to decline service.

Box Braids

Your hair will be sectioned into squares and plaited by three strand braids. Service includes a wash. Treatments are an add-on. This is priced for medium size, which is a total of 8 rows of braids. Comb Coils

Similar to a twist out or rod-set, the coil treatment is tighter curls that volumize as the days go on. Ideal for a quick date night or event hoping. Service includes a wash. Treatments are an add-on. Must have detangled hair or incur additional costs for additional time if it can be accommodated.

Faux Barrel Twists

Do you like the loc style look but don't want to commit? Try out faux barrel twists on your natural hair. Similar to flat-twists but with an edge. Priced for 4 barrels, as pictured. Silk Press & Haircut

Want to see your natural curls, curled? Ideal for a simple week's style. The hair is overhand 2 strand twisted on the scalp followed with permrods to the ends. Two-Strand Twists
